WAAL Costume Drive for YWCA Madison
Posted on Oct 1, 2018 11:12am PDT
In support of the children of YWCA Madison, the Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers (WAAL), in partnership with Women in Focus (WIF) and RISE Law Center, is hosting a Halloween Costume Drive from October 1st to October 15th. WAAL is asking for donations of new or gently used Halloween costumes (all sizes) to allow the children of YWCA to participate in
Downtown Madison's Family Halloween.
Each year, children of all ages participate in Halloween festivities on Madison's Capitol Square, directly outside of YWCA's transitional living facilities. These facilities include Third Street Program, a transitional housing program for mothers and children under the age of 5, and the Empower Home Program, a transitional housing program for mothers and children fleeing domestic violence. Your generous donations will allow these children to join the fun and participate in the festivities.
If you are able to participate, we ask that you sign up to donate a specific costume listed in the attached Google Documentor donate a costume of your choosing.
